The Benefits of Fish Oil

By definition, inflammation is the resynthesis of inflammatory cells. With the increase in the production of inflammatory cells in a body due to many factors, there is a great possibility that persons suffering from acne will also produce more inflammatory cells. Other than acne, inflammation may also affect other body systems like joints, respiratory systems, reproductive systems, and the immune system. Since these inflammatory cells affect the normal functioning of these systems, Omega-3 fatty acids (from fish oil) can also be beneficial for acne.

Inflammation

Inflammation is the reaction of white blood cells to injury, irritation, swelling, etc. This reaction may result to the development of infection in the body system and it affects almost every system; the skin, bones, joints, respiratory system,  cardiovascular system, and even the nervous system. Thus, preventing  inflammation is more important than treating the symptoms of acne. Recent studies have shown that because most of the oils that we consume are full of Omega-6 fatty acids (from soya, corn, sunflower, etc), we should avoid a diet that is rich in these oils.

Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered the “good fats” because they help to lower inflammation and produce anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. Omega-3’s are found in fish, krill, flax seed, and microalgae. Omega-6’s are considered the “bad fats” because they contribute to inflammation and tumor growth. You consume them in abundance if you eat meat, but if you are a vegetarian, you should include olive oil and other good fats in your diet.

5 Reasons to Finally Lose Weight

As an overweight person, the first thing we look for is a way to lose weight.

Most overweight people have tried and failed to lose weight in the past, so they know not what to believe or trust.

Reasons to lose weight:

1. Your Health

Health is not something to leave until to be decided upon. Your weight is a balancing act between what you eat (the food you eat) and what your body burns (the amount of calories you burn). If you eat more than you burn, you pile on weight, and if you eat less than you burn, you go into the negative calorie balance.

There are direct and indirect health risks associated with being overweight. For example: high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease, and diabetes.

If you have reached the point where losing weight is your main goal, then you have to be serious and honestly, you have to want to lose weight for you. A doctor will tell you EXACTLY what you are in for if you are overweight. Calories in being much more than calories out.

2. Your Fitness Levels

Keeping fit is a fantastic way to lose weight.

When you are fit, your body burns calories at a greater rate than when you are overweight. What’s more, you are probably much less probable to have any form of osteoarthritis.

With regular exercise you don’t just lose weight you tone up.You look better, and as well as looking better your heart gets stronger, the arteries clear up, your veins are less clogged, and your muscles get stronger. A healthier heart: that’s a good thing.

The level of fitness you have the more you are likely to be able to exercise, and to burn fat. The lower the level of fitness, the harder it is to lose weight.

Now don’t get me wrong, even modest levels of exercise will help you lose weight.

3. You Will Feel Better

Your body will feel better in so many ways, including in your mood, your sleep, your energy levels, your focus and concentration, and your self-confidence.

4. You Will Be More Confident

Losing weight will make you feel good about yourself. Losing weight can help you feel good about yourself just think about it.

Isn’t it fantastic? When you look good, you feel good about yourself.

You’ll get more compliments, and you will be more energetic. You will have higher self-esteem, and you will be much more likely to take chances and do things that you dare not do if you felt overweight.

5. You Will Become More Focused

Thinking clearly will bring about mental clarity, and focus is a badly needed part of losing weight. If you feel clear you will be able to make decisions, and you will realize the bad things that fatty foods do to your body.

You will be able to see the right opportunities and stop wasting time. When it all boils down everyone must have the self-discipline to accept the challenge of losing weight. You won’t loose weight by magic: you need to work on it, and then carry it out.

It is done in stages: your level of fitness, your choice of diet and exercise combination, the stages you must reach to get to the self-discipline stage, and the steps that you need to take to get there.

All the stages have equal requirements:

1. Will you pick the apple or the apple pie?

2. Are you satisfied with how you look?

3. Do you think you will enjoy living a healthy life such as walking more, eating more fresh fruits, vegetables, and fibre?

4. Are you prepared to stop eating fast food and highly processed foods?

5. Are you prepared to eat little and often?

When all five stages of the self-discipline process are synergistically working together, you will feel empowered to make the right choices in life and in your workouts.

Will you take the First Step to a healthy lifestyle?

If you have already committed to lose weight and become healthy, feel better, and improve your quality of life, consider this consult and learn adapt discipline.

Choose one affirmation to get started. Hang it somewhere you can see and use it everyday, referring to it often. Read it out loud. Write it down on your notes, on your personal working areas, and on your emotional areas.

The Foods We Eat Play a Bigger Part Than You Think

I’m a very good believer in that we are the food we eat, and therefore we should treat our bodies to be a temple. Therefore only allowing good foods to go in the body. I really do believe this, as I do think we’re the ones causing most of the deaths and diseases in the world. Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc etc. aren’t because you eat so much fast foods either. You see, the corporations are very smart when it comes to marketing. I’ll be perfectly honest, I made up my own mind on this years ago as I was researching different diet books and discovering which was helping me lose weight the most effective way.

I found a dietary plan that was written by a guy named Mark Hyman. It’s been published in several places around the internet and in various book format in the early 2000’s. The main thing about this plan is to eliminate as many packaged foods from your diet as possible. You’ll basically be eating more whole grain like breads and pastas and getting more protein from beans and nuts. And as far as sugars you should look to avoid the processed kind like soda pops and candy. The plan is basically to keep it as natural as possible and reduce your carbs as much as possible.

All of this is just common sense and very much similar to what any body builder would recommend. Thus you have fewer carbs and Hence you’ll more likely get leaner. I did the whole detox and fasting thing for a week and jumped back into a cheeseburger and fries practically eating myself clean the second day. But the body craved that cheeseburger and fries! As I always say, less is more, so I recommend eating larger portions more frequently. You’ll eat less and find it more enjoyable food because you won’t get bloated and your stomach will actually feel full.

I’m not saying you have to go live on KFC. I know that’s a lot of food for a kid to eat but you have to start somewhere. You can begin the process by making smarter choices about what you buy at the grocery store and making your own food. Then maybe you can eat out less. Either way, prevention is the key and once you’ve gotten lean the benefits will last a lifetime. My next article I hope to review the tax complexities of supplement manufacturers. Afterwards, I’ll review the amount of muscle that you need and how to gain and lose weight.

Here are a few things you keep in mind to keep yourself fit and healthy:

1) Exercises like walking, biking, swimming, etc.

2) Do not skip meals

3) Remove sodas, juices and coffee from your diet.

4) Make sure you get enough calories each day. At least 1,000. less is better.

5) Build muscle – it doesn’t matter how you get it. You should lift weights to build muscle and you should get your calories somewhere between 10 times to 1,000 calories a day.

6) Teach your kids (and yourself) to eat “real” food. Here is a list of foods that you want to stay away from:

  • Lots of pasta and bread and grains. You want to get your carbs from fruits and vegetables.
  • Any highly processed foods. ( factories)
  • Junk food. This is not a major issue for you. You need to decide if you are willing to live the rest of your life eating mostly “real” food or if you are willing to move up to some of the proposed solutions.
  •  Fast food. This is definitely a no-brainer. If you want to eat fast food you have to learn how to eat “real” food. Find a good cookbook and cook food that is in your food budget.
  • HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). This is corn sugar and it is in everything. You should make an effort to read your labels and limit your sugar intake.
  • Trans fat. This is not natural and it is very unhealthy. Limit it as much as possible and realize that this term on the package is not always accurate.
  • Artificial sweeteners. These include aspartame, saccharin, and sucralose. There are some low quality products on the market, but do your research and avoid these products.
  • Hydrogenated oils. These are not good for you. Put them in the trash can.

Now that you understand why you need to keep these things in you, what can you do?

Healthy Fat Loss – How to Lose Weight in a Healthy Way

Fat loss or weight loss is a huge problem in the United States with more than two thousand caases a day. About 75% of the nation is overweight. This is 10% more than the world’s population of overweight people. Being overweight puts your body at risk for developingMHEART tablespoon and other diseases. If you are overweight, carries a risk that you will develop this medical condition.

There are so many diets on the market that are supposed to work, but in fact, they are very ineffective. This (among many other) did not lead me to healthy weight loss, but it led me to even more frustration than when I started.

I seen the commercials, talk show hosts, and medical doctors all around, promoting the newest and latest pill that they introduced; to fight fat, they promote certain foods, and tell you to exercise and you will develop a tremendous daily routine of diets, and continuing medical doctors who tell you that if you just take this pill, you will be healthier in no time!

I see them on T.V. with reputable doctors and talk show hosts promoting their drug with no solid science to back up their claim. A true way to BURN fat is NOT pills. And dangerously, popping pills will lead to medical problems for you. Plus, the results from these pills are temporary

Here are healthy tips for fat loss

1. Develop a regular fitness routine.

Even if in the middle of the night, or doing push-ups, or just walking around in the house, keep up your fitness routine. As exercise, make sure it is for your heart. A swimming workout isn’t going to be as much, and definitely won’t work your heart. At least your body will get some exercise, but not nearly as much as if you holding an accountability for your fitness and overall health. And don’t get me wrong here, working-out with a high-aerobic step program, will getting you great abs, and a great figure, but aerobic exercises by themselves are NOT the answer to losing fat, but are a GREAT instillment to your weight-loss goals.

2. Ignore fad diets on the market.

You can’t know what is truly healthy and what isn’t in these diets, than what so ever “diet gurus” have offered. These fad diets promise you quick weight-loss, giving you reasons to feel like you are special, and that you are special too. But in reality, 2-3 pounds of weight loss up to 2-3 months is very unhealthy for your body. And when you gain back all that weight, your body has been malnourished, and your body is malnourished because you have neglected it during the time when you were taking the pill, or eating the so-called magic diet food. These diets are detrimental to your weight-loss efforts.

3. Find a good gym.

Don’t go to the gym you have to pay, and leave without seeing the coach. There are plenty of other great options for taking exercise at the gym. Some are better than others, but if you want to lose weight, make sure your fitness routine include the following:

  • Strength training: You will build muscle, which will begin to burn fat. More muscle equals a much faster metabolism, which means your body will burn fat and calories even while you sleep!
  • Cardio / Interval training: Interval training has been shown to be the most effective method for cutting fat and losing weight in a short period of time. Interval training consists of a series of warm-up routines, followed by short but intense periods of hard effort followed by a recovery period. Both types of training are equally effective at cutting fat and helping you lose weight.

4. Be consistent.

Even if you only walk for 15 minutes one day, make sure it is done 2-3 times a day so that your body continually works your muscles a little. If you lose some weight, your body will be toned and you are more likely to continue exercising the next day.

These fat burning tips will help you lose weight quickly and healthy weight loss is an ongoing process. If you take your overall health, safety, and your health seriously, you may want to consider losing weight in a healthy manner in order to keep the weight off.
